Actually it's the French who are considered rude. The British are considered very proper, but not rude.

Some Brits just are rude, like every other nation has rude people. But many Brits tend to hide their emotions, and come across as stuffy or cold, and therefore seem like they're being short or rude when they're really not.

It's not that they're *rude* so much as they are annoying with all of their properness. That's probably why we rolled out and started our own Country.
