If you could control your mind you could do the other thing.
So control of one's own mind will give that person power to do all things.

hmmm.. lets analyze that for a sec:
being able to control minds means that u can make anyone u choose do anything you want them to. it means that you could get into their head and see what they are thinking and then manipulate their thoughts to make them think something else, or you could even make them kill themself (example) in fewer words that would mean you'd have full power over everyone! u would be the lord of life and death coz u could control the births and the deaths that happen around u. a power like that would mean u can do ANYTHING!!
now the other: having the power to make things appear would mean u could also make PEOPLE appear, right? or entire places or masses of people. so in a sense, you could be at the bank and need to be at the mall in a jiffy, so you could just make the entire mall (with all the people in it) appear outside the bank. that would in a sense mean that you could teleport...or make other places and people teleport. so again that would give u awesome possibilities in the world of travel or communications, etc....
conclusion: depending on my views and values, i would say that the first power is more valueable...but in the long run it could get old... of course, so would the other, so i'd say controling minds is the better of the two.

The power to control minds. If you had that power, you could make people do anything, including making things appear for you. In addition, you also be able to delve deep within people minds and natures, which would perhaps give you an insight about how why the world is as it is.

well i would definitely choose the power to control other people's mind, call me selfish or a maniac, but i am not materialistic, well not yet. So once i get those people to do anything that i want, you don't need the power to make anything appear anywhere, cause you can control people, thus you can have their money, cars, and girls. so i mean, what else in this world is interesting?

the power to have anything appear!
because...let's say i wanted a ham sandwich, light on mayo and with dijon mustard. if i controlled someones mind to make me that sandwich, they might make it with not the right amount of mayo, thus being unsatisfied with the sandwich and having to control their mind AGAIN, wasting my precious mind energy, to go make it again.
it is so much easier to just make that sandwich appear out of thin air. i could also make the half dill pickle appear instantly chilled or unchilled depending on my mood. if i were to control someones mind for the pickle, the pickle that i want may not be on hand...which means that the person would have to walk to my favrite deli (about 2500 miles away and i am not going to let them drive over to pick it up or let them use my phone to have it shipped...that would be increased expense) pick it up and bring it back...by then, my sandwich would probably be finished or my taste/desire may have changed.
it would also be cool to make things appear which dont normally appear in nature...like hummingbird with george clooneys head on it. c'mon, c'mon, c'mon...you cant tell me that controlling someones mind is going to produce results like that, can ya!?!?!

the latter, make a device that controls peoples minds appear,
in a world where you control every ones minds, you are in a world completely alone, surrounded by empty shells of former human beings with nothing to interact with.

I think the power to control minds because you can have people or animals take stuff anywhere or give you stuff.
