I did read the question about the southern accent directed to Brits. Indeed they were rude, but I figure this is de rigeur in certain parts of British society. There is some unspoken social rule that you must one-up the insult to show you understand it and also have a sense of humor. Sometimes they really go too far with it. The only strategy I've found for rude Brits is to insult them creatively. If they're intelligent, they'll appreciate it. If they're not, well...they can't punch you out from here! Hey, maybe they are finally trying to outdo the French for being rude! One must applaud effort after all...

Yeah, they were kind of rude, I'm neither American nor British, but with all due respect (it's my personal opinion, I dont mean to offend), I dont like the Southern accent, I just dont like how it sounds, sorry, however, I do love the British accent, I think it's so sexy!
Dont think they were rude to you because they were British, they were rude because they are people! Some people are rude and some others arent. Besides, since I have memory, Americans and British have never get along very well, so they saw your question and were rude, I'm sure if a British show up around US Q&A, and ask a question similar to yours, he'll get a bunch of rude answers too.
OH PLEASE, stop with the "bad teeth" myth, do you really believe that ALL British people have bad teeth? Let's get some sense people!!!

Wow! There WERE some rude responses there, weren't there! Don't kid yourself though. A lot of Americans can be just as rude and hateful. It's never been in my nature to be that way, not at all. But I have enough life experience that (LOL) if necessary, I could match them wit for wit. And I do sometimes, just for "sport". Some of them make such THIN little targets.

Personally, I kinda like a British accent. But I also like mine.....it's a cute Texas accent.

Well I do have to say that there are rude people no matter where you go. I do hate to say that about the good ole' USA or any country for that matter but it is true.

We all walk from different parts of life and we just need to deal with the fact that some people are nice and some are not.

Thank you for the compliment though!

Sienna, sounds as if you are having a really bad day. We had this talk earlier. You have asked lots of questions here before, sweet girl, why are they getting to you so bad today?
Take a break, get away from Q&A a little while.
You've heard the old saying:
Sticks and stones may break my bone's
but words will never hurt me.

That's a bit rude... I'm an American, but I think British people are perfectly nice.
