I have sent letters , Phone calls, and stell nothing.

What I use to do: Call the bank every morning they should tell you if the check will clear or not...Then run over there and cash it when they say it will clear...Or rent out a big, flashing sign that you can place in front of your business with the name on it stating how this hurts everyone!..Businesses around here actually do this!!..I kid you not..You DO NOT want to write a hot check here...EVERYONE in town will know about it..ss

PS..I guess you could take them to small claims court too?..

If the person that wrote the check can be found, file suite against them for the face amount and interest, plus cost of collections.

Start by writing a letter informing the check writer what you are going to do, and agreeing to a pay off amount is they act now. This will look good on your part when and if it gets to court. Small claims handles these cases all the time.

Writing a bad check is a crime. Talk to the police. When the writer hears from them he'll be happy to make it good if you drop the charges.

Prosecute him for fraud or theft.
