How does the legalization of marijuana effect Amserdamn as a whole?

The Netherlands is a parliamentary democracy. Amsterdam is actually a very safe city with very low violent crime. It also has lots of things legal that are illegal in other countries, like drugs and prostitution. They believe that there is no such thing as a victimless crime, as it is a contradiction in terms. I think their lack of crime and legalization fits more with their culture, and not the legality of it. So in my opinion, the legalization doesn't effect it positively or negatively.

Edit: it is in fact legal there (under 5 grams)
