A few folks have already explained what Fast Pass tickets are for you. Typically, the thrill rides have the longest lines. But it all depends on the time of year, day of the week, and if there are any special holidays or events going on at the time of your visit.

Early March is pretty slow, but late March picks up with heavier early Spring Break crowds, so definitely take advantage of the fast passes. Here is a golden rule. If the stand-by line reads less than a 45 minute wait, don't get a fast pass, just get in the stand-by line. If the wait is longer than 45 minutes, grab a fast pass and return at the designated time printed on your ticket.

Here are some attractions which typically have long lines:

Animal Kingdom - DAK
Expedition Everst - DAK
Kali River Rapids - DAK

Soarin' - EPCOT
Test Track - EPCOT (this ride is not worth a long line. Wait until right after the Illuminations night show. Head straight over to this attraction and you'll practically walk right on).

Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, & Splash Mountain - MK
Haunted Mansion - MK
Pirates - MK

Rock n' Roller Coaster - Disney MGM Studios
Tower of Terror - Studios

Shows do not require tickets.

Fast passes are tickets that you can buy at some attractions that allow you to get in a line specifically for fast pass holders that is generally MUCH shorter than the other line. I believe Fast Passes have a fee associated with them, but I'm not sure what the fee is - possibly up to $5 a person?

The rides with the longest lines are going to be headliners, Space Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, etc. All the rides in the Disney parks will have long lines so expect not to see everything in one day.
Some shows require tickets, others don't. If you know what shows you want to see, you should call Disney customer service and get some help in that department. They're friendly and really do want to help you out.
Park hoppers are GREAT types of tickets to have, you can go from one park to another in the same day without having to buy individual tickets at each park. You might plan to go to Animal Kingdom all day but most people don't realize it closes at around 5pm - what do you do the rest of the day? Why with a Park Hopper, go to Epcot of course! Or whatever park you want to. Or you might plan to go to Magic Kingdom, and find that it's way to crowded for you and your family - with a park hopper you can find a less crowded Disney park to visit that day.

Also, if anyone in your party has a disability make sure to talk to a cast member, they can hook you up with a wheel chair, interpreters, or other form of assitance to make your visit that much more enjoyable. If you have any other questions feel free to shoot me an e-mail, and I'll try to help. Otherwise, give Disney guest services a call for more help. =D

The ride lines vary by the time of year. The longest lines are usually Soarin and Test Track, both at Epcot. Fast passes are worth getting if you are on a tight schedule, but they are kind of pointless at times. At MGM, the Rockin Roller Coaster almost always has about a 45-50 minute, and is one of the really worthwhile fast pass rides. You can normally catch my favorite ride in all of Disney, Tower of Tower between a 20-30 minute wait. Other than that, Space mountain can get long. And of course, Expedition Everest is going to have long line... but it is very much worth it! Hope this helps!

there's a pair of strategies i will advise. First and least difficult is the FASTPASS. basically you grab a FASTPASS value ticket and it says come back for the period of a undeniable term and you circumvent the traces. Now the FASTPASS isn't obtainable at each and every journey in spite of the undeniable fact that and the style of passes given out in line with day are constrained. 2d is going to the parks early, the faster you get there is decrease the line. yet bear in ideas it gets busier and there will be long traces in spite of the time of day. i want to advise getting the park hopper decision on your tickets so which you would be able to look at a diverse park in the afternoon to get removed from the crowds (Magic Kingdom is going to be the busiest park and so which you would be able to bypass there in the morning and look at a diverse park in the afternoon). final yet no longer least, I advise attempting to survive internet site and motives why I say it quite is once you survive internet site you may take earnings of what's stated as greater effective magic hours. the greater effective magic hours are whilst Disney opens a undeniable park an hour early and a diverse one as much as 3 hours overdue. Disney has a schedule of which park might have those greater effective magic hours. Now which ever park is offering the greater effective magic hours would be so a lot greater crowded so only save that for the period of ideas. Disney has approximately 30 hotels so bear in ideas that each and every physique those human beings would be using the greater effective magic hours too. once you are going to do take earnings of the greater effective magic hours in spite of the undeniable fact that, i could do like I mentioned till now and easily spend 0.5 an afternoon at that park and bypass to a diverse. till now you bypass i could additionally look at some fan websites and probably some return and forth books.
