First of all, lying about a problem on a car is dishonest. There are better ways to solve this problem. Disconnect the heater core on the firewall, there are two hoses. If you get a bypass and connect them together, the heater core won't leak and there will be nothing to explain except the fact that the heat doesn't work. Mark up your price a little bit and tell them you will either fix the heat or give them a discount if they take it the way it is. (back down to the original price) This works every time and you can sleep better at night. I know, I am a car dealer.

Oh and for everybody that says it's just $30 to get a new one........have you ever INSTALLED one?

The overwhelming majority of us think that you may be a loser if you lie about this issue. So you can comfortably put your head on the pillow at night, I would suggest that you just fix the heater core.
Contrary to another answerer, they DO clog. The system is a sealed system but it does require some maintenance. If the system is not periodically flushed, rust can build up and clog the heater core as well as the smaller water jackets in the engine in rare circumstances.
Other times people will add the wrong kind of coolant to the system and a reaction between the two types will gel the coolant and clog the heater core.
To the best of my knowledge there is no "bleeder valve" that you can bleed the radiator system with. The highest point on the system, where the air will eventually collect, is the radiator cap.
So just buy the heater core and replace it yourself. It's going to be more than $30, but you haven't sold the Blazer yet with it not working. The time spent writing the question and reading the answers would have been put to better use working oin the vehicle.

Compromise by buying a brand new heater core (in the box) and giving it to the buyer. He or she may not appreciate how much work it is to install it. You could connect the heater core's input and output hoses together at the firewall to stop any noises and leaks. Sell the vehicle in the spring or summer.

This is bad news, white smoke most always means coolant in the combustion from a bad head gasket or worse. The heater core is also leaking. The heater should be bypassed so that a pressure test can be done to verify the head gasket problem.

I doubt it's clogged. I think you have air trapped in the system.

I don't know why everyone thinks heater cores clog up so easily. This thing is only 8 years old. Usually the only thing that happens to them is they leak.

You need to get the air bled out of the system. IS there a bleed screw on the radiator?

The core only costs about $30 to replace it. And then you won't have to lie.
