I would say yes but that is up to the people of Venezuela - they have to live there. From what I see on the news he may be doing some good things for the country but he could do even better if he didn't spend so much time and money on his hate campaign against the US.

That seems to be the way things go for the US. We and our companies go into these countries and spend the time and money to help develope their resources (oil in this case) and then they turn against us. I did not realize that Americans were so obnoxious to people of other countries. Are our Standards and Morals/Mores so much different that other peoples would turn against us?

I disagree with some others that say that Chavez has been good for Venezuela. However he was legally elected and rhetoric aside, he poses a minimal threat to the United States.

Actually even though he is anti-American, he has really turned Venezuela's economy around.
He's good for the country so I don't think they're crazy.

I would say so
But it is Venezuela, it is their country, so if they want to let him have all the power, that's their business, not mine.
They will suffer the consequences, not us.
