My College housing selection is upon me and I'm think of getting a single room. That way I don't have to deal with anyone bs. I'll have my own space and be able to keep and neat and clean as I won't.

The only draw back, is it 7440 for the year.

Now what I'm thinking is peace of mind vs debt?
Which is worth more?

I've had roommies, before, and sharing a living space with someone just isn't me?

So should I do it go for the single room?

I plan to start filling out as many scholarships as I can to help cover the cost.

You need to do whatever is best for your education. If living with someone does not allow you to study etc....than I say get a place of your own. Education is what will take you up the ladder in this country.......the money can be paid back. Plus that is about right for the price of an apartment.

Just remember that just because you are in college....doesn't mean you'll have a good job when you get finished.
I know many people, including myself, that struggled to find a decent job after their degree for years!
If you are already racking up the debt for the schooling itself...you may not want to add more to it.

If you desire peace and quiet like I did...always remember that there are coffee houses to help...also the school library.

Just because don't like roommates...doesn't mean that it is unbearable. It is only for a few months at a time....if necessary...you'll get through it just fine.

I say go for it. I will give you less stress and you will be able to focus more on work school work and less on apeasing someone else. Plus this should be covered by your loan which means you don't have to pay it off till after school so you don't have to worry about it till your making a good income in a career that you studied worry and stress free in cause you had your own room in school.

Yes, you should. And here's why:

As luck will have it, you will be the unfortunate recipient of rooming with someone like ME. I had a thousand friends, +/- and always more during Rush of any kind, holidays, and weekends. All of them were loud. Or obnoxious. You would find them to be both. They will come and wake you up, all hours of the night, asking your roommate (me) for various things-- alcohol, phone numbers, papers (rolling), etc. You will be ready to kill your new roommate.

So, in conclusion, YES.

Good For You! If you know that you simply cannot get along with a roommate, and you can afford a single room, then go for it!!

If roomies aren't your thing than think of it as buying some privacy and sanity. Ask yourself if the added cost worth it?

I would rather get the roommates, just till I can afford my own place, but than, that's just me. I hate roommates but I'm living with them and I have no choice till I graduate and get my own place

Do it - you won't regret the p&q. Get a part time job to help pay for it.
