Could anyone please suggest me a project topic, in Network Computing. I am totally confused about selecting an appropriate topic.
I am a student of MSc Network Computing and we have to develop a project related to networking.

One of my ideas was to enable instant messaging IN the LAN. Not out of it. That way people can exchange ideas without email or phone calls.

why dont you develop a wi-fi type network to conect severals computer for online-lan playing a game? you will need to program the router and everything but it will be fun the testing!!!
