The first man was called Alan Turing, he was the head of something at Cambridge, he then worked at Bletchely Park and made the Enegma Michene. He saw how someone else, had created a number crunching mechine and the US army used something that held words. So he put all that togeather and it had small memmory. A Chinese guy called Au Wang ordered 38 cmputers and took the memmory chips from each of the others, he is why we have so much memmory on the computer. I think computers were still fairly large and the taking photoes for miniture chips idea was an American guy.

CNC was preceded by NC (Numerically Controlled) machines, which were hard wired to produce one specific part. The first CNC systems used NC style hardware, and the computer was used for the tool compensation calculations and sometimes for editing.
