there are some special equipment on the market, comet, maplins etc stock them.

However if you have a phone input on your computer ( ie media centre ) then you can do this straigt away.

as for software it will record what it hears, so if hiss, jumps etc it willpick it up. To eleimate this then a specialist software is required.

Yes, you probably need few bit of cabling and a software like Windows Media player, and you should be good to go.
A Microphone/ Audio in to take in the music and a CD writer, media player can pretty much do the rest.

You really need software. Software that will de-hiss your records and allow you to set tracks rather than one big (album) song.. and after that doddle..... a few free ones around (see www.downloads.com) or we use nice and easy Magix software
