To enhance, mutation is too great of a chance, you can use gene thearpy instead. Where you take a virus and remove the unfavored DNA, replace it with some traits that you want , and let it run rampid in on the somatic cells. Most effiecently it would be to modify you as an embryo instead of waiting until this late in the game.

At the moment, we can't. We don't have the technology. But in a few years time, you will be able to infect yourself with a retrovirus which will rewrite the DNA in every cell in your body to anything you want.

DNA is almost inert so you'd have to clone yourself and enhance the clone.
