Why do you believe that killing the smallest most innocent form of our species (abortion) is ok, but you are against the war? Most liberals believe that killing a mass murdering pack of wild men, is just so evil and wrong, because they might be killing innocent women and children! Don't you see that your belief system contradict itself!? My question is this: how can you believe in abortion, but you are against killing mass murders in the war.

Let me spell it out for you. NO ONE BELIEVES IN ABORTION. IT'S NOT A BELIEF SYSTEM. Please, for the sake of your own argument and from sounding like an uneducated small minded person, stop calling it a belief. IT'S A CHOICE for every woman who finds herself pregnant has to make. It's not something she believes in. SECOND, not just liberals get abortions. Many abortions are done by conservatives. THIRD, most abortions occur during the first trimester when the cluster of cells are not even considered a fetus yet, let along being viable fetus capable of living outside of the womb on it's own.
The war kills far more people and children who already have established lives and established relationships with loved ones and with the community.
NOW, why are you so for mass killing in war and against women making their own minds for their own bodies without the government interfering with their lives and their private relationship between them and their doctors? Why are you for forcing a woman to be pregnant if it is against her wishes, or possibly threatens her life? Why do you people always want to punish the woman? Is this some kind of hold over from the dark ages and hatred for women and witchcraft?
FINALLY, what makes you think that by illegalizing abortion will stop it? Especially when all indications, history, and society itself tells you that it will never stop whether legal or not.

cantcu and thoor_ballylee - EXCELLENT ANSWERS!!

OK, for the 100th time, from the top.......

People that stereotype Democrats as all supporting and promoting abortion are either misinformed or just miscreants. I'm really sick of ALL the stereotyping from BOTH sides!

Abortion is not a good thing, ok?

But is it not ironic that this administration continues to somehow moondance around the fact that the US has the highest teen pregnancy rate on the planet; one that is 9X higher than the Netherlands, where they take sex education seriously and contraception is available to teens?

How about we PREVENT a few unwanted pregnancies with some common sense contraception?

How is that not a good idea?

Or were all of you Republican participants here good little girls and boys that never engaged in any sex at that age?

Abstinence. Ya.

Fine if it works for you; sucks if it doesn't.

Deal with abortion however you see fit, but for God's sake, can we just get into the real world about teenage sex?

How many times are you going to ask this?

How can you be against abortion but don't mind seeing our kids killed in Iraq over nothing but a bunch of lies?

A fetus is not a species!

Many liberals, and many Republicans believe that it is not their choice to make. You obviously think you should dictate to physicians and women to have a child, and usually an unwanted one!

I am not for abortion, I am for the persons who's life will be effected have the choice as they will be stuck with it, NOT you!

And I bet you are part of the minority that pulled condoms out of schools and are directly responsible for a lot of teen pregnancies. You think they should "just say no!" Well, that doesn't happen many times and many are children as young as 13!

I bet you hate welfare as well, don't you?

I am also against the death penalty, which I bet you are for!

I think you have enough of your own issues than playing God, which you certainly are not!

This question has got some problems, first it assumes that all "liberals" are for abortion which is not true and second you are making a few other assumuntions. But lets go with your premis, that liberals are for abortion but are against civilian deaths in wars, maybe on average you are correct there, my question then to "conservitives" to those people who fight and believe so strongly in the right to be born, that the moment a sperm and egg touch there is a life that should be protected and has rights, why are you so gung ho about war? If you believe everyone has the right to be born, why are "conservities" so pro death penalty and pro war? You want the life but are rather quick to take it away later. Is it that the little fetus hasn't done anything you deem bad enough for death, like being born in a different country with a different religion? I'll never in my life understand how people, christians can look me in the eye and say that the death penalty and war are things that Jesus would do, if you want to cherry pick go right ahead, care about life when you want to and turn a blind eye when you want to, but don't preach to me about caring about little unborn babies when you have no problem with 100,000s of civilian dead. We are all one people, the borders of countries are man made, do you really think that Jesus cares about man made borders? God is everywhere he cares just as much for your so called "wild men" as he does you.

Why do you state the opinon of a belief system you don't know anything about and then state that 'liberals' then hold another belief system that you don't agree with so our imaginary belief system is in contradicion to your supposed evaluation of our real stand on the differences between abortion and murder?
Exactly what make your assumptions any more realistic than anyone elses?

You frame the question wrong, we support a womans right to CHOOSE, it's not our business it's between her, her family, her Doctor, and her God, so you're comaring apples and oranges, also many of us understand through SCIENCE that a cluster of cells IS NOT A HUMAN BEING so again an apples and oranges comparison

They are two different things, but in contradiction to your own point, how can the right be against abortion but for war? The argument goes both ways. The difference I think is that a human with a brain fully grown with memories, family and all the fruits of life is not the same as an organism no more than a week old. Two different things to me, and I'm not a woman so I'm not telling them what to do about it. Thier choice. Unlike the women and children who have lived years of their life to only be snuffed out by a paranoid ideology of a president who could care nothing about them.

I'm a liberal... and I do believe that killing a fetus via abortion is very immoral... but I'm PRO CHOICE which is much different from actually wanting to do it. If I were pregnant and I didn't want to have the baby, I would absolutely not resort to abortion.

I believe that it's really not up to the government to decide what a woman should do with her child. It's up to the woman! That's why I'm pro choice. I feel that women should be given the freedom to do what they want with their unborn child... but I myself wouldn't do it. But it's not up to me NOR the government to decide for the whole population of women in the USA!

There's a group called I think The Seamless Garment that's against abortion, war and the death penalty. I think they're the only ones who have firm moral ground to stand on.
