First of all, with your hamster, that should be perfectly fine. Just make sure that you feed him a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables also.

Second of all, you really do not need to be feeding your cat all of those food. They aren't mean't for a cat, and since he is overweight already, those foods are just adding more fat. Talk to a local vet about certain foods to get some of your cat's weight off.

Cut the bacon and ice cream treats out. Is not good for the cat. You can give it like once a month and in a very small amount. I would call a vet and ask what he or she thinks. They will answer questions over the phone. Same with the hamster. I don't think carrots will hurt but again quantity does matter. Primary staple food should suffice for all nutritional needs. Too much of anything is never good. Good luck.

1. You should only feed fresh veggies as treats. Hamsters eat lots of dried grains/some seed/grasses in the wild. Too many fresh foods can give him an upset stomach. I would give no more than 1/2 tsp. of fresh veggies daily. I know that isn't much

2. Your cat, unless he is a larger breed such as a Maine Coon, sounds seriously overweight. He really needs to be assessed by a veterinarian. It wouldn't be surprising to find out he is diabetic, which is unfortunately common in cats. So, no more bacon or ice cream!!! His diet needs to be seriously reviewed and monitored by your vet. It can be as simple as switching to a lower-calorie formula and reducing the amount given. Do NOT leave food out all the time for an overweight kitty. He obviously is not good at regulating what he eats. If he isn't exercising much that just adds to the problem. Please seek medical attention for him...I have seen fat cats suffer with diabetes and joint pain. Not a good thing!

Good luck,
amanda

Carrots are fine for treat sometimes for your hampster. But that should not be their main diet. As for your cat, if you feed it bacon and ice cream, your just screaming you want it to have a heart attack. Those are aweful for your cat in alot more ways than its just bad for their heart. Its bad for their intestines, fur, everything. I would say a small peice of bacon once a month would be fine. But I wouldn't feed any ice cream to it. And wouldn't feed it more bacon than that. I like my animals to live long healthy lives. Keeping them happy is not everything.

I have a real weird cat that likes things a cat should not. Everytime he starts liking something different I call the vet and ask if it is okay! that is the only way you will know for sure. Our cats eats: Pinnapple, Broclii, corn, brussel sprouts, and Pistachios nuts!! Yes he is weird but he dislikes fish, crab and all the other things you would think that he lwould like!!

Call the vet and ask Different animals should not have certain thing!!

Hope this helps

Hi there:

Uhmmmm, I wouldn't continue to give him bacon and stuff like that, carrots are quite healthy as are peanuts etc., but giving him catfood would not be my choice. The food bought a pet stores are there to promote good pet health and I would use that-

Good Luck-

This is a highly debated subject among pet lovers. I think it is fine to let your pets enjoy people food, just don't overdo it. My cat loved Cheetos and green beans. My dog loved popcorn and Twizzlers. My dog ate all kinds of people food and lived a long and healthy life. My cat did too. Just treat them in moderation. Your cat is fat! My ex has one that outweighs yours by 6 pounds. Craziest thing I have ever seen.

cats shouldn't eat ice cream. i think baceon is ok because it's meat. as for your hampster, a carrot a week is good, if he eats carrots all the time he may be to full to eat his hampster food and then he won't get all the nutrition he needs.
