ya thats possible use a tv tuner card on ur system
1.Buy a tv tuner card
2.take rf cable out and give it onto the tv tuner card
3.tv tuner card install hardware and software
cheap and reliable
4.now when ur tv is switched on or off it is immaterial
data keeps flowing using software u can view and record using timer or manually in any way u like it
