I keep seeing claims on here of Bush being mistreated by Democrats. Am I wrong, or was it not the American people that voted in the midterms and showed that they wanted a new direction?

I voted Democrat. That said, I would like to see one thing from the Democrats in regards to Bush: more solutions. They do have a tendancy to take the easy way out on the issues. It is simple trying to find out what is wrong with what is going on, but how about some better suggestions on what to do right? The Democrats have some good ideas out there, to be sure, but they need to be as public about what they think will work in regards to the economy and the war as they are about what they think Bush is doing wrong.

There is a reason that the stereotype of the parties is this: the Republicans are a party of bad ideas, and the Democrats are a party of no ideas.

It is time for the new majority to get their message out there. Like I said, I voted Democrat. That said, I am still not exactly sure what it was I voted for. Americans want a new direction. What direction are we going in, anyway!?

I think the voters changed the make-up of the House and Senate and sent Bush a clear message that we want a new direction, and still he balks! They are starting to hold his feet to the fire and he doesn't like not having a rubber stamp on capital hill!

I don't know how he can be surprised as 2/3 of America is opposed to his policies! I forgot, he doesn't read or watch the news! He has someone come in (it used to be Rice) and give him their version of what is going on!

I am so tired of Bush, and his administration, I will just be glad when his lame duck *** is out of office!!!

Actually the mistreatment is the troops who have lost life and limbs, fighting in a war, that we have no business in

Only swing voters changed their vote to Democrat. Democrats are lucky Bush attacked Iraq otherwise Democrats would have lost ground in the house and the senate.

Half of the Senate is still republican.

And there were Republican victories in "liberal" California.

Bush is sensitive, saying something that he doesn't understand frightens and confuses him, a little like unfrozen caveman lawyer if you go back far enough to know who that is. Poor baby Bush.
