I would find a freind or family member I could stay with. If I had no one I would go to my local HESU office (housing and Emergency Services Unit) and see if they could find me a space at a long term shelter or transitional housing complex and then I would go to the Housing Authority and apply for low income housing or section 8.

1. Find a way to Bally's Total Fitness --- I have a 5 year pre-paid membership for just such an emergency --- very important to be able to shower.
2. Hang around a 5 star resturant and beg for left overs.
3. Get drunk.
4. Build a bon-fire, and keep drinking till I pass out.

I would find a place to camp near a truckstop (showers and laundry) then go to the employment office. I would not bother with shelters because they don't help you get back on your feet, they are full of people who know how to work the aid system and they're generally not safe.

Look for shelters so I could keep warm and clean. This would help me search for a job to get back on my feet.
