It's ABA approved. Sure it's low ranked, but if you excel there, you should be fine. Excellent location for a law school.

It's ABA-accredited, but there are much better law schools in Chicago, plus great schools outside of Chicago whose graduates want to practice in Chicago. Just be aware that the highest paying law firms will not recruit at John Marshall, because they can easily fill their positions with UChicago, Northwestern, and good non-Chicago law school graduates.

Law school is a huge investment. You should talk to practicing attorneys in the area (geographically and practice area) you would like to enter and ask them what they think of your options. Also talk to recent graduates of the school and ask them how they and their classmates fared when they were trying to get jobs for after graduation.

If you have decent grades, you might be better off studying really hard for the LSAT and re-taking it to see if you can get into a better school. It'll pay for itself if you get into a higher ranked school that will then get you a better job. Or you might just get a scholarship at John Marshall, which will make it more affordable to take a job with a smaller firm after graduation.

Good luck!
