Dude, yo!!! Hey- did people in the movie really not know that this was going to be a motion picture? Or was everyone in on it?
Or were certain parties in on it, and others weren't?

There seems to be some kind of complaint of subterfuge and misdirection with things, but there's a bloody camera there!

Everyone knew they were being filmed. But they were told it was for a real documentary, so we could get their real reactions. People are suing (those frat boys, for example) but they probably won't win because they've signed papers.
Certain parties were in on the joke - but pretty much everyone really thought this guy was from Kazakhstan and was making a documentary.

everyone apart from Pamela Anderson didn't know it was a movie they all thought that it was for a documentary in Kazakhstan that's why so many people are suing they think he misled them by telling them that

Pamela Anderson was the only one in on it. everyone else thought he was really from Kazakhstan doing a documentary.

If everyone was in on it Sacha Baron Cohen wouldn't be getting sued by everyone. I do know Pamela Anderson was in on it.
