I swear to God the scariest movie I ever saw was Night of the Living Dead. It was first out when I saw it years and years ago. We saw it at a drive-in movie not knowing what it was. It was the 3rd movie billed. We were way in the back of this country drive-in with maybe 3 other cars behind us. Most people had left. Scared the bejeesus out of us, especialy when one of the occupants of one of the cars behind us came stumbling past our car on the way to the refreshment stand and bumped into the speaker, which at that time hung from your window.

Old movie - the Exercist, because at the time I believed in that stuff. Recent movie - the Grudge. Watching the movie, I was amazed at the lack of special effects - it was so convincing because it really was real.
