I've had this happen before too, and I lived 45 minutes from the store and didn't feel like going back...but I should have because I ruined the shirt! And no, I didn't steal the item...I used to work at a clothing store and those little things you walk through that are supposed to detect the ink tags NEVER worked! They never even turned them on...I know, it's dumb, but needless to say, there were items brought back to the store that had ink tags left on them. Anyway, good luck to you!

They stick dyes in the tags sometimes and if you break it they will go all over the article of clothing sometimes they also have metal tacks in them which can be removed with magnets but if you bought it then take it back to the store even if its without the receipt..if you stole it they'll have the proof.

Best thing to do is take it back to the store that you bought it at with the reciept. If you try to remove it yourself there may be a dye capsule in the tag that will ruin the clothes.

Whatever you do, don't try to remove it yourself! The tag is filled with ink, and will get all over the garment if you tamper with it. Take it back to the store at which you bought it, and be sure to include your original sales receipt.

You should actually go back to the store, But I cant find out how they didn't recognize it.. Anyway, ask them to remove it for you,, and a very important thing is to bring your receipt, they might think you have been stealing..

You take it back to the store with the reciept. Were their alarms broken? How did you get out of the store?

Just use wire cutters they really work. But be very careful cause tugging to much can cause a hole in the clothing.

i would suggest you take it back to the store w/ the receipt. you'll risk putting a tear in the clothing if you try doing it yourself.
