It takes more than a persuasive essay to tell a young person how they should live their lives. Personaly as a father of a 13 year old female. I would feel very disturbed if my daughter was to choose someone elses's advice over mines. The advice I give my daughter is accompany and inspired by the word of God, is not and easy thing to do, because to be able to talk the walk, you have to walk the talk. When I was in prison, I didn't have that credibility established, I had to come out and live like a new born Christian to be able to establish credibility and a good Testimony.
Therefore; I don't think to many young people will take their advice.

There is an adage that says "if you don't suffer, you will never be wise."

I would believe them. I know they must have learned a lot of lesson from the prison and have shown their regrets by written words.
