Honestly, I think it's because he can. He's so mad that he didn't come up with the whole concept of ECW, that he bought them out, claimed they were "dead" for a couple of years, then brought it back - but brought it back in HIS way. It's a stroke to his ego that he can bring back and/or kill any product that is produced by his company.

CM Punk vs 2 Cold Scorpio for the tv title (if he is still under contract) and have a tag team division. but vince doesnt care what we think. in his mind, ecw is his creation and the originals are just not good enough to be there

Vince is jealous of the devoted fans that ECW has. He doesn't get what the appeal is to everyone and why they like it better than WWE.
If Vince were smart...he would bring back Paul Heyman and give ALL creative control to him then reap the money. He can't expect ECW to be another off-shoot of WWE it is its own entity with its own personality.
