I'd do something very clean and modern because sometimes goth can look sort of tacky. If you watch Nip Tuck and see Dr. Christian Troy's apt. you'd know what I'm talking about. You don't necessarily have to paint the room a dark color, but you can do a gray or some other moody color, but keep the bedspread a dark color like black. Maybe put shots of red in the room with candles or a painting, etc. Then put up a dark curtain in the bedroom and it'll look very moody. Put in some sleek chrome furniture or dark wood. Then you can add different things that suit her personality.

If you don't like that then look at the Osbourne's home for and especially Jack's room which was black but you can get inspired by it. Or maybe check out old episodes of cribs they had Marilyn Manson and Dave Navarro on once and they have that style.

Dracula's rooms were in 2 places, an abandoned monastery, and an old castle. what most people don't realize is that an aristocrat such as Dracula would have nicely painted cream colored walls. He would have probably also had some really nice drapes, and satin sheets with a velvet fabric bedspread in his favorite color. Lestat is another famous vampire, His rooms were usually decorated in a 18th century french / New Orleans style of decoration of the upper class, because that is where he was from.

Well I had in my dreams of being held captive by a vampire a castle bedroom but I guess that won't work. I would go with black cutains, some posters, crosses, any thing that hits her fancy really. Just curious but why weren't you Mom let her paint the room black? She's not gonna sleep in there.

You should paint it like the inside of a mosoleum; marble, columns, a few gargoyles.

Oriental Trading has this cool thing called a "Room Setter".

If you can't paint, maybe drape fabric from the ceiling in her favorite color, especially around her bed. These can be put up with staples or pushpins and easily removed.

Drapes and cardboard cutouts should help. Could you make a quick four poster with broom handles at each corner of the bed and black and purple cloths draped from each corner - that way when she's in her bed she'll feel it's a cobwebby dark place, but the room won't be all black!

make her a bed like a coffin, because thats what vampires sleep in,since you can't paint the walls black theres not much else to work with unless you put celtic crosses on the wall and maybe put up black curtains and movie posters up.i allowed my daugther to paint her room black when she went through her vamp stage but then again blacks my favorite color.

well, in a confermed past life with one of my friends, we were vampyric lovers. in the castle in which we resided, there was a chamber in the dungon that was our Chamber o' Love. the walls were covered in red and black velvet stripes, zebra style. had a HUGE four-poster bed, which silk and satan ties naturally. and a bunch of torture tools. stretcher tables, chains from the ceiling, etc., etc. but i think that may be a little impracticle for your sisters room. if she is a fan of purple, i recommend a dark purple (maybe with dark dark blue trim) for the walls. old fashioned bed, vanity, and dressers would be an excellent touch. the problem is that every vampyre is different in their tastes, just like mortals. but as far as i know, almost every vampyre loves the smell of rose petals in a bowl of water. hope that helps.

If ur creative u should paint it like a cemetery in the background and have her bed look like a coffin and have fake bats hanging from the ceiling. And just use any old Halloween stuff that u have.
