actually i think my question does make sense. people implies a culture exists whereas humans describes early non cultured humans so ive used both terms to cover both bases!

Everyone who isn't alive today is dead and buried somewhere or is just a sparkle in their father's eye waiting to be born.

I remember reading somewhere that 10% of all the people who ever lived are alive today. With a current global population of 6-7 billion, that means that approx. 60-70 billion people ever lived from the dawn of humans (Adam and Eve). Obviously not every single one is buried, there would be no room left! Hence the reasons we have cremations. By the way, NEVER use a ouija board! I read in a book that some people once did and left a vortex to the spirit world open, as they didn;t know how to close it. They left it, thinking it wouldn't matter, but spirits walked in and out as they pleased. Then Derek Acorah closed it!

Between 3 and 12 billion depending on which source you look at. A very high proportion of all dead humans are cremated not buried, probably 25% at a guess.

Not enough . . .

When the super volcano Toba errupted over 70K years ago, it is estimated that less than 1000 to 10000 breeding pairs of civilization survived.

They do say that there are more people alive now ( right now, at this minute) than the total number of people who have ever lived and died in the whole of human history.

I don't know if this statement is true or not.

Probably billions. How do we know? We weren't even born before the first human died.

About 400,000,000,000.

There are almost as many people alive today as there are that have ever died in the whole lifetime of mankind.

If there were spirits, we wouldn't be able to move for them
