But seriously, in reference to Cordova's answer, in my opinion, we acquire knowledge intensively civilization, cultures, and ways of living of other people in the world through extensive learning e.g. reading . We also have the so called mass-media effect. If we have to physically experience for ourselves to learn the Hungarian culture, it would be then a so expensive, luxurious , and/but absurd way of living, sensibly speaking. We research using books or textbooks as resources . or not ,there is also the major advantage of availing internet. This is what I am trying to point out.
But the Great wall of China, why I used it as the the image of my metaphor, as we all know it was built by the Qin Dynasty and later fortified by the Ming Dynasty, is i am trying to actually think if there is a possible reason why a person should curtail others from truth in parallel to China's main intention of building the wall to block any western influence to absorb their civilization.
