Is there anywhere near Polperro & Looe that you would recommend visiting?

Somewhere as pretty as the above mentioned

go along coast towards st.austell, take car ferry, visit pentewan old harbour and mevagissey, very picturesque

There are lots of beautiful places near Looe and Polperro.
There's Fowey nestling in it's lovely hatbour, Marvellous pubs, Charlestown (a little further on) Scene of many sea based movies with a very interesting museum. The Eden Project (near St Austell adn the lost Gardens of Heligan also close by.
