I just said good bye to a friend on his last day of work. We kind of like each other but we are both married, so there's no romantic prospects at all. So he comes to give me a goodbye hug, and I'm all nervous about it, and I pat him on the back, kind of not very gently. Was that a dorky thing to do? I shouldn't care, should I?

Yes, it was dorky. Just kidding.
Don't worry about it. Unless you two had something Really deep, he will forget about your attraction to each other in a few days.
