Ask yourself:
Are you bleeding?
Is the cramping unbearable?
Does it come and go at certain intervals? (in other words, can you look at a clock and anticipate when you'll have the next cramp?)
Does it go away if you change activities or positions?
If you've answered "yes" to the first 3 and "no" to the last, then you need to contact your doctor.
The cramping is probably ligaments stretching as your baby grows. You'd be amazed how uncomfortable... even downright painful... that can be. And it doesn't get any better the bigger you get, believe me. One of those muscles snaps and you can literally hit the floor. Then you're sore for a couple of days.
I'd say it's normal and there's no need to panic. If it makes you feel better, call your doctor's office and ask. They deal with questions like that every day, and they won't think less of you as a person for asking. As a matter of fact, they'll probably be happy to put your mind at ease. That's why they are there.

I don't think so. I know you can get tummy aches and constipation cramps and all that. But contractions aren't till later later in the pregnancy. And contractions are really really sore and the pain also goes through your lower, sometimes upper, back. If you're getting stomach pains now that are that bad you should call ur doctor right away just to be on the safe side. Just be aware that the first trimester especially is VERY important to watch out for stuff like that. Congratualtions and good luck!

It depends on what you mean by slight cramping. You will feel some, as your uterus expands and the ligamends streatch. If the cramps are making you loose your breath, then no that's not normal. I would highly suggest calling your Dr. and discussing your symptoms with him. He can tell you if your pains are the normal ones or advise you to come in if he/she feels they are not.

I am 13 weeks pregnant and I have not felt anything like that.. I don't think that you usually feel contractions until later.. I would ask the doctor at your next visit..

I did this too. Unless it is regular then it is nothing to worry about. They are probably just really early Braxton Hicks.
Good Luck!
