wasn't suspended for 18 weeks, i was sentenced to 18 weeks in behavior school and I'm in 7th grade.. but when the principle told me after school that I was going to behavior school and not to bother showing up tommorow, the next day [tommorow] was the beginning of my 18 week sentence to behavior school, right? I didnt have the meeting to find out i was going to behavior school until a week later and i only had a meeting with the dean who then sentenced me to 18 weeks at an alternative.. but my question is the first day i was absence from school due to all of this, was the beginning of my 18 week punishment at an alternative school, right? 10 points

Unfortunately, no. You were suspended. That suspension started the first day you were told not to return to school.

Behavior school is separate. It begins when you've been enrolled and accepted.

So basically, your suspension is not 18 weeks, but 18 weeks PLUS the time it takes to get you into behavior school.

No.. I think the beginning of your 18 wks was the first day of that week when the Dean had that meeting with you about the alternative school, because I guess ur principal didn't say anything about it but the Dean did. So just follow what the Dean said. What did u do anyway? Damn...

I think the 18 weeks wouldn't start until you get to "behavior school". However, as a mom I would ask you to try and figure out what is making you misbehave? Are you depressed, are you angry, do you need someone to talk to? Are you involved in drugs? I think if they have sent you to this school most likely it is because you have some other problems you are dealing with. Maybe when you are at behavior school you can sort this out and deal with them appropriately so this won't happen again. Easier said then done, I'm sure! However, there are usually people willing to listen. Family, church members, school counselors, friends...etc.
Best wishes.

Your "sentence" starts on the first day that you begin to serve it. So on the first day that you show up to behavior school (not the first day you don't show up to regular school) your 18 weeks will start.

I believe 18 weeks would be from the start of the first day you actually start at that school. I would ask an adult that knows your situation.

P.S.
I know its hard.... but education is so importent.... let them help you and try the best you can with the work.

Good luck

Ask the very last part of your question one more time to make it clear OK?

Are you asking when the actual time starts?
