I need information on how to mulch, what are the best plants for spring, and if I need to do something with the lawn.

The Smith and Hawkins Book of Outdoor Gardening.

It's got great pictures and illustrated how-to's, great guides on what plants for each zone and season.
It's my gardening bible.

I find this guy's newsletter very interesting, but at the moment I forget his web site. I know you can find his site through this one at iBtraveling.com and look on the left side for an ad about free plant tips. You can sign up for his newsletter and he won't spam you, or at least he didn't to me. His information he sends is wonderful and his web site is interesting too. have fun...spring is almost here! :)
