Most men, as boys, have been told to "suck it up" or "take it like a man" when they get hurt. They're called names and teased by others if they show signs of weakness.
Women are smaller in stature and generally weaker physically. Women are an easy target. It's a pretty sure bet that they can win the fight and it gives them an ego boost.
But a REAL MAN would know that, that's not how you treat a woman and wouldn't even consider such a thing.

Not all men. Some do it though because they find it funny to play with their minds saying how they cared and everything when all they did was use you. I don't know why some men find it funny it's not funny it's sad to play with someones feelings and it can really mess the other person up emotionally and mentally not cool.

Low self-esteem, a learned behavior from home, lack of self control, control/anger issues, may be drug or alcohol influenced.
