The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands and The Proper Care & Feeding of Marriage by Dr. Laura Schlessinger.
These books are as brutally honest and real as they get. Plus it knocks some sense into selfish women. Great books for those who want to take some personal responsibility for their actions.

I have never used those books. Those books are people who are voicing their own opinions. If you want to keep your man, treat him like a King. It's that simple. People lose their husbands because they don't treat them right. Why can't you still be the same way as you were when you first started dating? Me and my husband are very much in love and everyday it's something new and beautiful. Perhaps if people did this, there wouldn't be a need for these books. Thank you.

Everyone makes mistakes, and it sounds like your husband made a mistake with this woman, and with neglecting to tell you. I find it rather honorable that he regrets that the child was miscarried- it shows that he was excited to be a father, even in tough situation, and that he had compassion for the woman and his unborn child. I would not hold that against him. If she miscarried at three months, there are so many things he didn't get to experience. He probably never felt the baby kick for the first time. He never held his child in his arms for the first time. He never saw his child take its first step or heard it laugh for the first time. You will get to have so many new experiences together as parents, if you have children. Perhaps losing a child to miscarriage made him who he is today by showing him how much he wants to be a father. You are married. Part of marriage is accepting people for who they are, past and all. Everyone has baggage. I would work on forgiving him and also asking for his forgiveness for being insensitive about his past and a painful time in his life. Don't let his mistakes and your anger taint your relationship. If you are seriously considering jumping out of your window, seek professional help.

I think they prey on people who are desperate.

Why not burn the money?

The proper time to worry about your relationship is before it starts and while it is happy. Those books are intended for people who are in a position where it's probably too late to do anything.
