I know. You can't turn on the T.V. or open a magazine without seeing heterosexual filth plastered all over everything. It's disgusting.

I blame socialism, not on straights. Whenever people get to vote on the rights of others, then the majority will get its way. Since gays are a minority, they will always be subject to the will of others.

Clearly people have the right to form their own associations freely under the Constitutions First Amendment. And marriage is a very specific association between two people.

But since we became a socialist country, we now vote to determine how others should save for retirement, how others should manage their health care, how others should educate their children, instead of individuals determining these very important aspects of their own life themselves. So why not have others define what your marriage should be?

The gvmt should not be in the marriage business at all. It should be up to the individual to determine their relationship with their partner. Just as it should be up to the individual to plan their retirement, their health care, and how their children should be educated as these are not the function of gvmt either.

No, the problem rest on our willingness to turn over our lives to others to run.

However you still can own property with your partner, you can have a will, living will, and durable power of attorney so you can leave your property to your partner, and have your partner determine when to pull the plug. You still can marry. The only "perks' you lose are Social Security survivors benefits and the ability to average your incomes for tax purposes.

These obstacles can be overcome by eliminating the income tax in favor of the fair or flat tax and privatizing social security. But you won't get support from liberals.

Remember that even liberals prevent you from marrying. The two most liberal states, California and New York have a ban on gay marriages, Vermont and New Jersey have a second class citizen status of civil marriages, and even Massachusetts is having a voter initiative that will repeal gay marriages in that state.

If even the most liberal states won't support you, then why do you think the country will?

Their sexuality is everywhere. I'm always amazed when I hear statements like "I don't mind gays but I hate it when they force their lifestyle on me". WTF. I wake up every day, turn on the TV and voila, T & A, I go to the store and look at the magazine rack and again viola, T & A, I get on the tube (subway) and there are the ads and voila, T & A. Now for any Heteros out there, please tell me again how your lifestyle isn't at least shoved our faces.

Gays have a culture that is unafraid of either sexuality or sensuality and many straights, having been raised in a strict religious context, cannot reconcile that we may be on to something. To them it is original sin, something dirty. To gays it is a celebration of life, an intimacy that is shared and yes it is also quite fun. Why fear what God blessed us with? Gays don't but a lot straights do.

e Reagan Administration has fostered a climate in which a barest majority of the Supreme Court caters to the passions and hatreds of the American mob, stripping away the constitutional shield outside our bedrooms.... How tragically ironic that an Administration that promised to get Government "off our backs" is now so active in draping Government gumshoes over every part of our anatomies. ~Carl T. Rowan, quoted in Unnatural Quotations compiled by Leigh W. Rutledge

They do it because for some unknown reason gays feel the need to announce to everyone their sexual preference, as if they are trying to shock people to see their reactions, and dare them to disapprove. I don't know of any heterosexuals who announce to everyone that they sleep with the opposite sex. There is absolutely no reason for it. The subject should never even come up during a normal day.
I don't know anyone who tried to "convert" a gay. Perhaps the people you know think you are announcing it as a plea for help?

How many of these so called "self-righteous heterosexuals" would want their sons or daughters, or themselves for that matter, involved in a serious relationship with a "former" homosexual convert? Dollars to doughnuts, my money is on NONE.

I think the straight people that do that are just too stupid to know that their life isn't the only way to live. I think being in love is great - no matter man and woman or man/man or woman/woman. Don't let it get to you - all of us straight people are NOT like that. :)

Because everyone is a hypocrite. They will tell you to do something right when they do everything wrong. They think its right. I shoudl say "we" cuz I aint gay. But I have gay men as my friends and gays are the funniest and happiest people around.

I hear ya!
They refuse to accept that nearly every magazine, advertisement, TV show and movie is a blatent attempt to shove their "lifestyle" down our throats. And then they have to gall to accuse us of this, when we try to level the playing field!

What hypocrites!
