I've seen this question posed before and people tend to answer by explaining the whole process. I KNOW that sometimes you NEED to face the shower to do certain things. I talking about the rest of the time. When you are just standing or daydreaming. Which is your default standing position? Towards the shower head or away?

I sit in the tub, shaving, washing hair, etc. I let the shower rain down on me until the tub fills. Through most of the process I envision being under a gentle waterfall & pool in a tropical paradise. I almost never stand & face anyway in particular.

Away. I used to have contact lenses, and I was afraid I would lose them. So I faced away, also if the lenses would fall on the ground, they would fall in the area not disturbed by the splattering of the stream hitting the ground. I have glasses now, which is much better, but I kept the habit of facing away.

It depends upon which part of the body I want to wash|

If I want to wash the front, I face towards it; if I want to wash the back, I face away from it|

You face in such a way so that the water hits the part of the body you want to wash|

I stand both ways, but I like to stand with my back towards it so the hot water relaxes me.
