I wonder if being good or bad is more than just your environment or how you are?

raised?My nephews are not all good.One is very good and one is not and they have the same upbringing.The same wholes true in my sisters family.One neise is good,the other not so good.It may be genetic.What do you think?

I think partly its their envirnoment, my sister learned from our experiences almost the same, but my brother had a different outlook on things, he seems to stay in trouble...so partly envirnoment and partly just how you are because of the way you've looked at things.. if that makes much sense

No two children are raised in the same environment. For instance, one has an older sibling, one has a younger sibling. One has parents who were inexperienced as parents, the later child has the benefit of more experienced parents.

Plus there are variations from one person to another in how the brain processes experiences. Even "identical" twins usually develop different personalities.

"Good" and "bad" are how YOU perceive their behavior, not how they see themselves in terms of their needs. Is a wolf being bad when it kills a sheep for food? Or someone's pet? Try explaining the concept of "good" and "bad" to a hungry wolf. Or to a baby crying for it's bottle.

maybe the ones that are behaving badly are doing it because that is the only way that they can get any kind of attention from their parents, your siblings need to watch either Nanny 911 or Supernanny.

I have heard/seen this many times and it would appear to be a genetic thing..but I'm not really qualified to say. Just observation on my part.
