If you still have lochia your body hasn't resumed ovulation yet. So, don't worry about it. You shouldn't start your birth control pills until your doc advises it's okay - usually at your six week check up. Because it can cause the utuerus to thin out and bleed even more.

Don't worry about it, but definately remind your doc about birth control at your check up.

You have to take a birth control pill for 7 days in a row before it will be effective, and then if you miss a day, you need to use a back-up method for the next 7 days. So no, taking a pill now will not help.

Did your doctor ok for you to have sex? I am guessing not if you are still having lochia. You can really hurt your body by having sex too early! PLEASE wait till your doctor says it is ok, and use protection next time!!!

Some women ovulate immediately after giving birth. My aunt got pregnant four weeks after giving birth - her two kids are ten months apart. If you don't want to get pregnant right away - get on the pill and don't have unprotected sex. Breast feeding is not a form of birth control!
