Buy Time Out magazine when you get to London, it is the best magazine with listings of clubs and tourist attractions.

For night clubs: Don't go out in the West End (the centre of town where most tourists hang out) - everything is too expensive and not very good. There are many different kinds of club, depending on if you want hip hop, dance music, etc., or you just want somewhere fun that plays cheesy pop music. Look in Time Out or a listings magazine for the kind of club you want, and then head to that one, if you don't plan in advance you will probably end up somewhere sh*t. Be warned, night club queues build up quite early, it can be best to try and be there by around 11.30pm or you may have to wait a long time to get in. For general bars and pubs, try heading to Camden Town or Old Street on the underground.

For culture etc - try walking along the South Bank (by the Thames) for an afternoon, it is a nice walk, you will see many famous sites. One thing you will go past is the Tate Modern (modern art museum), which is very famous, it's in a cool building and it's free. Also try the Natural History Museum and the V&A in South Kensington if you want good museums.

London Bridge is just a bridge across the Thames, it's nothing remarkable. You're probably thinking of Tower Bridge which is the famous one you would have seen in countless films. You can have a look inside it as well and walk across the top from one side to the other. It's right next to The Tower of London, which confusingly is not a tower per se it's a castle. It's an absolute must as it's been there for over 800 years (unlike Tower Bridge which is only Victorian). It also houses the Crown Jewels which are definitely 'must see'. The Victoria & Albert and the British museums are the two best, though you could spend a day in each and not see everything.

Re football, you are unlikey to get tickets at either Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham but you might be lucky at Charlton, Fulham, QPR or Crystal Palace. I would look them up on the internet and see if you can email in advance to book at ticket.

Night Clubs are not really my thing so can't help you with that one - sorry!

League football clubs in London are Brentford, Fulham, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Millwall, Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton, West Ham, Watford, Barnet, Queens Park Rangers, Leyton Orient. Historically there's the British Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum (fashion), Science Museum, Natural History Museum and Imperial War Museum which are all free to get in or I'd also recommend the London Transport Museum (student discounts available) and any of the other places mentioned above.

I too think you are confusing Tower bridge with London Bridge, visit Tower Bridge, the Tower of London is nearby. A good way to spend an afternoon in London is to take a guided riverboat trip along the Thames, it's a new perspective on the city. Hope this helps

If you want to see the main attractions then go on a double decker tourist bus there are plenty on offer - you cannot miss them. They will drive you around all the big sights and you can have a Thames river boat trip thrown in too for about £16 - 18.
The Bus trip is good value and the ride is about 2 hours and as the bus an open top you get to see it from outside.
