No. And I think what people are calling global warming isn't. The higher temperatures are being caused because the earth's axis slowly tilts over time. It is called PRECESSION. That means that some parts of the earth are closer to the sun than they were years ago. Eventually it will go back the other way and things will change back again.

Yes. Presently here in China we are in deep winter. My heating in the apartment is not the best so to keep warm I wear a double set of thermos, a heavy coat, a wollen cap and two sets of woollen socks. Several nights ago I began to sweat, a very unusual phenomena this time of the year. For two days after that we experienced spring-like conditions - right in the middle of an otherwise brutal winter. I heard unconfirmed reports of flowers blooming ! Now, it's gone back to deep winter and the only really warm place in my apartment is under the covers.

Yes. I spent December and January in Australia, where the drought is worse than anyone can remember. Different states have different rules, but in Victoria (where they've had horrific bush fires, still burning I believe - we had to drive inland to dodge them) you are no longer permitted to water a newly laid lawn. Until the end of December you could water freely for the first 4 weeks, to get it going, but no longer.

It's a very cool winter not cold a all.
I even stop the "heaters" for 2 weeks.
There's not enough snow in a lot of french skiing resorts.
