It is a matter of power and control. Currently, whites are the race that hold the majority of power in this country, and the Republicans currently are the main political power of the rich elite. By nature, a party in power wants to maintain that power, and the rise of minorities is a threat to that power. Thus the appearance of a lot of racists in the Republican party. However, it is not really fair to label them the racist party, when there are plenty of Republicans who are NOT racist. Fact is that the Democrats are also supported in a large part by corporation dollars, albeit on a smaller scale than the Republicans. As a result, there are plenty of racists in the Democrat party, too. They just tend to be less overt about it.

The parties, in themselves, are not really the problem. The problem is a core prominence of racism in our society, and that includes the people that the government represents. Ultimately, it is the people who are responsible. We, the people, whites especially, do not make race an issue during elections, or in any other capacity. On the whole, we do not boycott corporations that practice racist policies. We do not support organizations that promote diversity. We do not vote out the agents of racism that permeate our government, Republican and Democrat alike. We fall for the false perception that because a small handful of minorities are involved in the government that racism is not a factor. We fall for the lies that immigrants are a threat to our country. We vote accordingly, hence the racism and untrustworthiness of our leaders.

Let's see now. Harry Byrd (D W Va) is a former KKK high ranking member. Former Alabama Governor George Wallace a democrat tied to keep Black students out of the University of Alabama. George Bush has more Blacks in his Cabinent than Clinton did so now you want to tell me that we are racist? I have serious concerns about your reasoning if you really have any other than trying to start a fight you can't win. I am a republican and I am a long way away from being racist.

Isn't this a very broad statement covering a lot of people? I can show you as many racist democrats as there are racist republicans. And let's not forget - that the Mexicans and blacks and others that hate whites are just as racist as a white that may hate any of them just because of their race. Shallow and untrustworthy - sounds like a definition of Hillary LOL

Perhaps your study population is not representative and your premise is not valid.

Then again you probably are not asking the scholarly question since you end with three question marks as would a 14 yr-old girl. Also the Tom Science 4 reference leads me to believe you are just being "naughty". Did you text message all your friends? "OH MY GOD, YOU JUST GOT TO CHECK OUT WHAT I JUST POSTED!".

Happy Cheerleading.

OMG, what a stupid and uneducated thing to say. You obviously need to study up on your facts before putting something out there so incredibley dumb. You nailed a Democrat to a tee.

And people like you are actually given the right to vote? Very scary. That is why our world is so screwed up.

I am confused with the words most and extremely. I don't think most Republicans are racist, some of them may be. What is the difference between extremely racist and somewhat racist? Is that like me saying, "I like *******."

To answer your question, I believe it's because they are all white.

Really? Prove it. My Republican Latina Wife would take umbrage at your generalization.

Why does liberal Democrat Barack Obama go to an overtly racist church?

Why didn't liberal Democrat Al Sharpton ever apologize for the lies surrounding the Tawana Brawley case?

Wow I feel that way about democrats. They are judgemental ( hypocritical) on many peoples lifestyles and way of living. OH let me rephrase so I am not like most democrats. I would say a good chunk of democrats are judgemental. Untrustworthy. Example. Hmm Clinton cheating on his wife. Clinton not taking care of Bin Laden when he had the chance and lying about it. AND shallow is Kerry and Hillary. I think you must have had a brainfart when you woke up.

Why are you?

You're making judgments on all Republicans based on something you've seen or heard. That is prejudiced thought - just like racism.

Check out the RACIST history of the Democratic party:

You're just jealous because conservatives are hard working and tend to achieve in this life while liberals are dreamers and never accomplish much of anything.

Generalize much?

Why are most Democrats intolerant jerks?

Why do you guys think that minorities and women are too stupid to manage on our own? We don't need your help, thanks.

Why do Democrats act like they are so superior to everyone else, yet preach about tolerance and acceptance?

Oh, never mind. Have a nice day.
