Rubella can cause heart and brain defects, deafness and cataract in your unborn baby.

It is strongly recommended that if your pregnancy is planned, have a blood test to determine if you are immune to rubella before you start trying to conceive. Although rubella is not dangerous for you, it can have very serious implications for your unborn baby if the infection is contracted during pregnancy (the risk being highest in the first three months).

If you are found to lack immunity, you will be given the rubella vaccine. The rubella vaccine contains a small amount of inactivated live virus that your body recognises as foreign and to which it builds up an immunity. It takes three months to build up the immunity and during this time it is unwise to risk exposing a developing baby to the rubella virus. You can safely try conceiving after this time.

Symptoms of German measles:
The symptoms of German measles show up only two to three weeks after exposure and include slight fever, swollen glands and a mild rash. Sometimes the symptoms may go unnoticed.

i have checked this out and the effects seem to be that if a woman gets rubella in the early months of her pregnancy, her chance of giving birth to a deformed baby may be as high as 80%. These babies may be born deaf or blind. They may have damaged hearts or unusually small brains. Many are mentally retarded. Miscarriages are also common among women who get rubella while they are pregnant.

the following links give more information

but dont panic - speak to your doctor - good luck

It can cause blindness, deafness and other disability's Being in contact with the disease is more dangerous in the first 3 months as this is when every thing is developing in the baby.
You can not be immunised when your pregnant you have to wait until after you have had the baby.
I would also get checked before you get pregnant as the vaccine can wear of after a few years.
I know this from experience with my first I was immune and then two years later while pregnant with my second I wasn't the protection had worn off.
I had to be careful not to get in contact with any one who had rubella.
I was immunised after my second baby was born, he was healthy as I luckily hadn't been in contact with the disease.
Good luck

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/BupiZ

A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.

i was told to abort my baby years ago as my son had German measles. I didn't have any antibodies and i was told my baby would be born blind limbless or deaf. I decided to go ahead with the pregnancy and she was born perfect. Thank goodness i didn't listen to the Doctors.....

It's quite serious, especially in the early stages; it can cause significant disabilities. I don't know the details, so if you've been exposed and are pregnant, go to your doctor right now.
