My significant other and I planned a 5-day cruise and have already paid for it, which is to take place July 5-9, problem is I will be 28-29 weeks by then. Do you think this will be o.k.?

It shouldn't be a problem. As long as your Dr. hasn't informed you of any complications that may prohibit you from going on vacation. Although sea sickness may interfere with your enjoyment. I would however make sure that you use a high grade sun screen and make sure you stay hydrated throughout the duration of your trip. Good Luck and Congratulations:)

Do you have to fly? The only problem I see is if you have to fly to reach the port. Check with your airline if you are flying. Most will not let you fly that late (3rd trimester) due to the fear that cabin pressure will cause early labor.

Also, ask your doctor if there are any travel restrictions.

The cruise itself shouldn't be any problem! In fact, it sounds like a wonderful babymoon! You may notice you'll get seasick even if you never have or it will get worse. The easiest fix is to ask your doc to perscribe some anti nausea meds just in case you need them. I did this when we went on our vacation to India when I was 14 weeks pregnant. And, I was glad I did. I've never been sick on plane except this time when I was pregnant.

My doctor said it was fine to get away. They request that you call them and make them aware you will be out of town so they can prepare a vacation packet for you which contains do's and don'ts, blood type, any problems you have had, previous blood work copies and such. Just in case while you are away if you need a doctor you have all the nessary paperwork and a beeper number for your regualr physican in case you need it. I plan on doing a cruise myself so I asked about it my last visit. Best wishes and enjoy a little peace :)

shouldn't be any harm unless you plan on mountain climbing or diving with sharks or something. A relaxing cruise will do you good. Be prepared for sea sickness though. The bodies changes can do strange things to you during pregnancy.

you may want to clear it with the doctor first...you are getting far enough along that some don't like you traveling too far because of the chance of complications or early delivery. BUT you could still be in the stretch that you are okay....that's just RIGHT when you enter your 3rd trimester! i hope your pregnancy cooperates enough for you to get to enjoy your trip! good luck!

The only person who can give you an accurate answer is your doctor. My doc wouldnt let me leave town as soon as i was 30 weeks along, but its different for everyone. So dont listen to all these answers, ask your doctor.

Make sure that you consult your Dr. about it first. You definitely need to have a check up right before you go. Congrats and Good Luck.

I would think it would be fine if you are having a normal pregnancy. Be sure and ask your doctor though he/she is the only one that can give you an answer you can count on.

Yes, it should be ok, but you should talk to your doctor as they are the only ones who can tell you for sure based on your history and such.
