He's always sitting on the steps like a wino. And it's his show, I'd sack someone if I was him. So that I could have their chair. To answer your question, it's a body language thing, to make his guests feel less intimidated by him. He used to be an 'agony uncle' on a radio show and he talked somebody out of comitting suicide on air, but the whole thing was exposed as a 'set up' and the suicidal person was a faker.

lol, maybe they can't afford to give him his own chair and their are only enough for the geust. Or he might not want to sit in the same chair that other people have been sitting?

i like the way he talks down to people , but as soon as they argue back he changes his tune and trys to become their best mates ....the blokes a knob , i could never tire of jumping up and down on his head .... a cheap tackyier (if possible) version of jerry springer ..
