There is nothing lately that angers me more than Bears fans. If you notice Colts fans and players are not putting down the Bears (the other team can not say that). Nor do we need a Superbowl song. This is sports - and YOUR NOT SHOWING VERY GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. I moved from south of Indy to Northern Indiana. And it kills me that the people in Indiana will NOT support their home town team. Everyone that I have met are Bears fans. Their reasoning is they say that most of their lives we (Indiana) didn't have a team. That's Bull. The Colts have been here since the 80's. Now, if you live here then you should stand behind your team. I love our boys - and I have always supported them through the good and the bad. I feel that they deserve where they are this year, they have worked hard to get here. Even though I go through A LOT OF CRAP. It is well worth it!...OUR GUYS WILL BRING IT HOME...and all the people that live in Indiana and support the Bears....MOVE TO CHICAGO....

Northern Indiana is basically a suburb of Chicago. It's in the same tv market.

People from there feel that they are closer to Chicago than Indianapolis. It has nothing to do with what state you live in that which city you are closer to.

The Bears have been around for generations so cheering for the Bears has been passed down.

The Colts only moved to Indianapolis in 1984 after they maliciously ripped the team away from Baltimore.

Many people still see the Colts as a Baltimore team.

There is nothing to blame, it all makes sense.

Just have fun rooting for your team, don't worry about northern Indiana residents who like to hang out and shop and cheer teams in Chicago.

The "super bowl song" you referred to was 21 years ago! And like one of the previous answers said, Northern Indiana is closer to Chicago. Indianapolis is not their "home town team." The Bears are a well-respected franchise who are liked throughout the entire Midwest and have been for over 80 years! The Colts are imports from Baltimore. Learn the history of the game before you cry!

If you live in norhtern Indiana, the Colts aren't your hometown team. Maybe homestate. But many many people in northern indiana have been bears fans for generation and generations. Closer proximity to Chicago.

And don't spout off about Colts fans not talking trash. It's going both ways. This is football, not volleyball.

Well, since the Colts are the Indianapolis team and not the Indiana team, why should every one in Indiana be a Colts fan. Not to mention that Northwest Indiana is a lot closer to Chicago than it is to Indy. Plus, arn't people alowed to cheer for the team they want. Is this not America, where team freedom is everything!

Umm...I live in Ohio and am a Bears fan...even though Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Detroit are closer. I've been a Bears fan for a longer period of time than the Colts have been in Indy. As have many people...probably many of those you are referring to. And don't forget...in northern Indiana...that is closer to Chicago. But where exactly is it stated that you need to root for the team that is actually in your state???? I'm sorry...but your statements are themselves not showing very good sportsmanship. Get over yourself. Out of all the trash talking I've seen...this is the worst example of it.

First, I want to say GO COLTS.

Second I want to say that you can live wherever and be a fan of a completely different team. My husband is a HUGE, i mean HUGE bronco fan, but has never even set foot in Denver. My father in law is a Steelers fan, and lives in illinois. My mother in law is a Raider fan who also lives in Illinois. My husbands sister is a Vikings fan, who also lives in illinois. I am a colts fan, that does live in Indiana. I do not like the colts JUST BECAUSE i live in indiana.

NFL isn't like baseball. it always seems in baseball that you like the team from your home town. It's not that way in football, and if you think it is...then you dont know anything about football fans.

I live in Cincinnati, but I'm a Colts fan. I moved here several years ago from Indianapolis, but have never developed a fondness for the Bengals. Just because you live in a certain area doesn't mean you have to root for that team.

Bears suck and the Colts will roll. I live in Chicago and I can't stand bear fans! They are ignorant and they smell funny.
