I had a marijuana possession charge 2 years ago. I want to be a pharmacist. Will I still be able to go to college and get a job being a pharmacist or will people just turn me down because of it?

It was a misdeamoner and I was 15 now I'm 18 but the thing is my license is suspended from that same marijuana charge when I was a minor. Now since they suspended it now where I'm an adult I'm afraid it could mess with my career goals.

If it was a juvenile charge, you're okay. However, having a marijuana conviction and applying for pharmacy school will be suspicious. Just explain. You do know since you have a marijuana conviction, you won't qualify for federal financial aid money.

Typically background checks do not go beyond your 18th birthday. I do not believe college or universities will ask this either. Even as an adult background checks don't usually go beyond 10 years.

I do several background checks per week for our company and the average I see is 7 years and every form I have seen does not ask for anything before your 18th birthday.

It depends on whether it was felony possession or misdemeanor possession, also your age at the time you were charged could be a determining factor.
