understood her and that her friends in halls of residence were just friends who took her out to clubs and that she could'nt go to them with a problem.I felt like she was wrong cos at least she has friends who take her out to student nights.I dont have friends like that.Am I wrong for thinking she was exxagerating and being over dramatic?

A whining, self-dramatising university student?

Now, whoever heard of such a thing?

No and yeah. Maybe you feel this way but perhaps inside she feels that no one is truelly her friend and what you perceive her to being exagerating maybe isnt so. Maybe she genuinely feels this way. Why don't you talk to her..maybe then it could solve two issues..her problem with true friendship and your problem with lack of clubbing etc. It's worth a shot.

Maybe she wanted you to give her a hug. It could be she's missing the comfort and security of her home and family.
