Do you think, with the ever-increasing gap between rich and poor, democrat and republican, capitalism and islam; the prospects of nuclear war and the emergence of China and a Hispanic majority domestically, that the United States will still be unified or even a country in the year 2057?

Of course. People were probably saying that 50 years ago.

It is like a pendulum we move from left to right and back again. We have had problems before and have managed to survive better than before the problems. We're Americans we can accomplish whatever we set out to. People are starting to think differently and within the next 12 to 16 years many of the problems we have today will be fading memories. We will be more diverse and I believe the gap between rich and poor will continue to fluxuate as it has all along. Right now the gap is growing but it will turn around.

OK the "ever increasing gap between rich and poor" is not what you make it out to be. Income at all levels is increasing. The income Joe makes when he's just starting out is only a bit higher than the income Tim made just starting out 30 years ago. But Tim makes a lot more now than did the people at the height of their careers 30 years ago and Joe will make more 30 years from now than Tim makes now.

Paul Krugman wants you to believe that Joe will always make the entry-level pay and Tim has always made the executive or experienced professional-level pay but it's not true.

I swear, if life expectancies dramatically increase tomorrow, Paul Krugman will write about an "alarmingly rapid growth in the age gap between the old and the young," the NY Times will publish it and Lou Dobbs will have a nightly segment entitled "War on the 20-somethings."

yes i do, with alot of change.

think about it now, Americans are a bunch of races grouped already, so no matter what majority of people dweel here, they are Americans.

Now if your question asked do you think the Caucasian race will still be the majority in 2057 thats a different story, and way too hard to tell.

Every great empire fell, but America is different. We base ourselves as a country of many people, and were strong enough economically to hold strong and continue for at least 50 more years.

Why 2057?

How about 2012? Iran will go nuclear in 2 years. the North Koreans are already nuclear. China will never be a friend; just a trading partner.

Iran will become Middle East superpower. So, I dunno. Only God's gift of America's gifted location will keep it away from its enemies.

If american's don't wake up to globalists plan to turn america into a North American Union, America will no longer be the same. And for the people that will claim this is some kind of conspiracy, you should try reading the CFR's actual document!

Certainly--the question is will we return to eing a free country or continue to slide into the totalitarian society Which is exactly what will happen if too many people come to share your views.

Good question. With the SuperCorridor, we may just wind up merging with Canada and Mexico.

I can only imagine the resulting flag to come out of that one.
