My son did that, too. It may or may not last long, it just depends on the child. My son still does that, and will only deviate from it if he's sick or had a bad dream. I wouldn't worry one bit. I only hope my daughter does the same after she's born!

Yes, this is normal - my son was sleeping 7pm til 6am at this age and I was lucky. Enjoy having your full nights sleep and make the most of it just in case it doesn't last.

My son is now 6 months old and sleeps from 7pm until 9am - he only wakes up in the night if he really needs a nappy change or if he's hungry.

Sleeping is natural at this age, just make sure they are being fed and changed. My son from the time he was born went to bed at 8 pm and slept through the night until 5 am, he was breast fed, never took feeding between those times, he was and is healthy now 18, highly intelligent and social. What works for one person may not for another, trust your own feelings in regard to this matter or try some of the ideas you get. Enjoy parenting, it is rewarding!

I have an 8 month old who sleeps from 8pm to 8am and takes two 2 hour naps in the day. He's been doing this since he was 5 months old before that it was 3 2hour naps. My doctor said as long as he's getting enough to eat ( which he is he weighs 24 pounds) count your blessings there are people who are up all night.

Totally normal. Mine started doing that at 8 weeks. Every baby is different though. We were just lucky! By the way - he still does at 1 year! So it may not be a growth spurt like someone else said - it could be for life...lol

for some babies this normal and others it's not. You don't have to worry about it unless he or she isn't gaining weight. My daughter was sleeping through the night at the same age as yours and the L/D nurse i see every week said i should count my blessings. She is now 28 weeks old

Wow, how lucky are you! Babies sleep lots and if yours starts to sleep through the night enjoy it while you can! My twins didn't start sleeping through the night until they were almost 9 months! Now at 21 months they both sleep 11 hours at night, Yippee!
It's perfectly normal.

This is very normal and BE HAPPY! :) It won't last. He's probably going through a growth spurt. A babies sleep pattern changes from day to day. If he's not loosing weight, don't worry about how much he sleeps.

I would not be too alarmed but maybe just give your doc a call he may want you to wake the baby to feed him maybe not.My baby was a preemie and I had to wake her every 3 hours to feed her until she was about 16 weeks but all babies are different .I hpoe you enjoy your new baby they are such wonderful gifts from God that He allows us to take care of and to teach them about Him.Good luck to you and the little blessing!
