on the paper my doc gave me all it says is ob care and delivery covered/non covered service acknowledgement...then it says your fee includes and your fee does not include..under where it says your fee does not include it says ultrasounds..they give this to everyone,but i dont know if they eman if u have insurance or medicaid...cause i have medicaid and i always thought it covered us.with my other pregnancies it did. im confused..

when i had my us and everything they never said i had anything to pay,they took my med card and everything..does this go just for insurance companies,not medicaid?

there is no way your doctor would have given you a US without telling you in advance that it wasn't covered by Medicaid. they probably would have made you pay for it up front if it wasn't covered.. otherwise, if Medicaid didn't pay, they would be left with an unpaid bill.
so rest assured, the US must have been covered.

usually medicaid covers at least 1 ultrasound- and ultrasound is a common tool for ob care. The paper they gave you was probably just policy. People with regular insurance get those too.
If you have questions you can call your dr's office and ask if the us was covered or call the medicaid office (not fun, I know.)

It covered my ultrasound (the first one) ..they checked to see everything was ok. I later wanted an ultrasound to determine the sex of the baby.. Medicaid would not pay. that's been several years ago but govt is changing everything now. I would definately call my caseworker and ask her. You can also call the company that deals with medicaid..or your state's medicaid website and it should tell you

If you are on Medicaid, yes it does cover, but you can call the medicaid to ask the question. Medicaid is insurance.

I would call the medicaid office and find out for sure. It covered my ultrasounds, but it probablly depends on your income, state you live in, and the Dr. you see. Find out first, b/c it can be expensive if you don't have any other insurance.

Unless they've changed pregnancy coverages drastically, it will cover the ultrasounds. I had literally hundreds of them while I was pregnant with my daughters..both pregnancies and it was covered. Even covered the amnio centesis testing.

Yes, it should cover everything. Call your Medicaid Tech,she should be able to help you. Do you have straight Medicaid or do you have CHP+ ? I know that CHP+ does not cover everything.

Sometimes, a crisis pregnancy center will give free ultra sound if you just go in and fill out a little paperwork :)

it covered all of mine i only had to pay 21 for l&d and nothing the rest of the pregnancy
